Pardo 200 in Proarquitectura · Objective 2050 Special
The project Pardo 200designed by Bakpak Architects in the Miraflores district (Lima, Peru), it has been published in the issue 204 of Proarquitectura magazine, dedicated to Special Objective 2050, an issue reflecting on the challenges and transformations that architecture will face in the coming decades.
The publication places the project within an international context of contemporary architecture that explores new ways of relating City, programme and sustainability.
Pardo 200 is a building of mixed-use which integrates hotel, offices, retail, and restaurants into a single urban block located in one of Lima's most active enclaves. The project is organised around a podium that activates the public space and, as it gains height, the volume fragments into two parallel towers, an operation that allows optimisation of views, ventilation, and relationship with the urban environment.
This volumetric strategy generates a recognisable silhouette on the Miraflores skyline, while introducing a more permeable scale towards the city.
The emergence of the project in Proarchitecture is added to other recent international reports, such as the published by Clarín ARQ, which have highlighted Pardo 200 as an example of contemporary architecture capable of connecting programme, city, and urban culture.
