In this context, CIC has selected Bakpak as one of the studios that are exploring new ways of building from a responsible, long-term perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/bakpakarchitects.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Revista-CIC-Bakpak-Architects.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the projects that exemplify this line of work are the following <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bakpakarchitects.com\/en\/projects\/oceanika\/\">Oceanika<\/a><\/strong> (designed together with EOVAStudio), a proposal in which structural wood takes on a leading role as a material capable of reducing the carbon footprint, optimising construction resources and improving the environmental quality of living spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project anticipates a profound transformation in the way architecture is conceived: <strong>buildings that not only reduce their impact, but also actively contribute to storing carbon, managing resources more efficiently and building healthier and more humane environments.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Bakpak, we understand sustainability not as a label, but as a <strong>design decision that runs through the entire architectural process<\/strong>, from the choice of materials to the way the buildings dialogue with their context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We thank CIC for the invitation to participate in this collective conversation and to open a space for reflection on the role that architecture must assume in the construction of a more conscious and responsible future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And if you want to read a bit more about our vision of sustainable architecture, go to this <a href=\"https:\/\/bakpakarchitects.com\/en\/future-sustainable-architecture\/\">reflection published in our blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sevillian office Bakpak Architects has been included in the latest issue of CIC Architecture and Construction, a special edition that brings together more than a hundred international practices around a central question: what challenges does sustainable architecture face today?
