Our Oceanika project, awarded at Rebuild 2025: a shared vision towards a more sustainable architecture

The project Oceanikadesigned by Bakpak Architects together with EOVASTUDIOhas been recognised with the Rebuild 2025 Award in the category "Timber Construction".The company has consolidated its position as a benchmark in sustainability, constructive innovation and industrialisation in the field of architecture.

This is the largest timber project by volume in Southern Europea development that materialises the commitment to more sustainable and efficient construction systems. The Rebuild 2025 award underlines the importance of moving towards responsible and transformative models in contemporary building.

The project has been made possible by the collaborative work of numerous teams: Egoinresponsible for the technical execution in wood; Herysanas prime contractor; EOSS - Evolution Offsite Systemin the industrial contribution; HMYin the interior design; and the financial support of Urbanitae e Incus Capital. The confidence of the promoter, Nuovit Corporatewas instrumental in promoting an innovative, responsible and transformative architectural vision from the outset.

For Bakpak Architects, this recognition represents an impulse to continue developing projects that integrate technical innovation with environmental and social commitment, thus consolidating a conscious architecture with a vocation for the future.

One of the 5 founding partners of the architectural firm, José María González Chamorro, attended the event not only to receive the recognition, but also to make a presentation of the Oceánica project, where he was able to go into the explanation of our building, addressing both the construction process and the challenges and lessons learned that have accompanied its development.

Oceanika, with more than 3,500 m³ of wood and 3,200 kg of CO₂ embedded in its structure, has become a reference in Spain and one of the largest wooden buildings in Europe.
