Bakpak Architects wins the Andalusian Architecture Award

The jury of the Premios Andalucía de Arquitectura awards Bakpak Architects the Special Prize for the Emerging Professional Career..

 After 15 years, the Andalusian Regional Government has brought back the Andalusian Architecture Awards. In this third edition BaKpak Architects has won the Special Prize to the Emerging Professional Trajectory. The jury highlighted the innovation and diversification in projects developed both in Europe and Latin America.

The aim of these awards is to highlight and make visible the excellence of Andalusian architecture. In the first two editions in 2007 and 2008, Guillermo Vásquez Consuegra was awarded for his professional career. A year later, the project for the extension of the Basel railway station, designed by the architects Cruz y Ortiz, was recognised.

In this third event, the range of award winners has been opened to five categories, taking into account not only the professional trajectory or singular performances, but also opening up to other fields such as innovation in construction, entrepreneurship or conservation.
